What Are We About?

OUR PURPOSE

In our entry level training, we provide you with an immersive training experience, to better prepare you for a job out on the fire line. We imitate many of the conditions you’ll see out on fire as part of a hand crew. We hike several miles, sleep out under the stars and provide hands-on training that you won’t normally get during a standard 40-hour entry level training.

No experience is required. Those who successfully complete all required training will be fully qualified to help with the wildfires. All training provided meets national standards.

Courses we currently offer:

  • Entry level training S-130/S-190/L-180

  • Refresher Training RT-130

  • Squad boss S-131

  • Sawyer S-212

  • Adult First Aid/CPR/AED

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to help people become qualified to fight wildfires and serve and protect our forests and communities. We will help you get trained so you can hit the fire line and make a difference.

WHAT’S THE JOB LIKE?

Become a part of something bigger.

Becoming a Wildland Firefighter means you will have the opportunity to travel to unique places and be a part of a team that makes a difference.

As a part of a 20-person hand crew, you will be living and working with your crew, traveling to new places, and pushing your limits. It is an extremely physically and mentally demanding job. Your working environment usually consists of steep, rugged terrain. You will be working long, hot days, followed by cold nights camping out with your crew. A full run with your crew means you could be out on the fire line for 14 days at a time, sometimes longer. Your wildfire suppression efforts will allow you to work and grow in a team-orientated environment that not only leaves a lasting impact on communities, but also on you. The experience will allow for personal growth that lasts a life time.
